The lessee is responsible for any loss or damage to equipment other than mechanical failure caused
by normal wear and tear. Insurance (which we strongly recommend) is the responsibility of the
lessee and proof of such may be required as a condition of rental. The lessee's liability is for the current retail price of the equipment in the event of loss or damage. A deposit is required unless an account has been established, in which case the cost of any damages or loss will be billed to the lessee's account. Acceptance of the lessee's deposit does not constitute an offer to sell the equipment for the amount of the deposit. The lessee agrees to pay regular rental rates of each day or part day the equipment is in their possession and is responsible for the pick up and return to FilmPlus Photo Supply during normal business hours. The right to terminate the rental and recover possession of the equipment if not returned on demand remains with FilmPlus Photo Supply. Any cost of recovery is the responsibility of the lessee. It is the lessee's responsibility to determine the suitability of the rental equipment for their intended purpose and to understand how to use the equipment. The lessee will hold FilmPlus Photo Supply harmless against any claims whatsoever resulting from damage to film materials or any other liability of any kind resulting from the use of equipment. Any non-rechargeable batteries supplied with rental equipment are not guaranteed in any way and are provided strictly as a courtesy. We recommend that the lessee purchase fresh batteries. One day rate is for a 24-hour period. A week is billed at four times the day rate. Weekend rate is billed at the day rate, pickup after 3p.m. Friday, return before 11a.m. on Monday. Charges are for time taken, not time used. All prices listed are in Canadian Dollars and are subject to change without notice. |
